FARMER v. ALTMAN, NO. 3:21-cv-00097 (D.S.C.) & NO. 2020-CP-40-05802 (S.C. C.C.P.)
On December 10, 2020, Raymond G. Farmer, acting as director of the South Carolina Department of Insurance and the Plaintiff South Carolina Department of Insurance, filed a Complaint for Declaratory and Injunctive Relief in the Court of Common Pleas Fifth Judicial Circuit for the State of South Carolina Richland County, docket 2020-CP-40-05802, naming the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance Commissioner, the Special Deputy Rehabilitator, and Senior Health Insurance Company of Pennsylvania (In Rehabilitation) as Defendants. That case was removed to the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina at docket number 3:21-cv-00087, but the federal court remanded the matter back to state court, where it remains pending today.
