Related Proceedings - OMMEN v. ALTMAN

On February 11, 2022, Douglas M. Ommen, acting in his Official Capacity as Commissioner of Insurance of the State of Iowa, filed a Petition for Temporary and Permanent Injunction in the Iowa District Court for Polk County, naming the Statutory Rehabilitator and Special Deputy Rehabilitator of SHIP as Defendants. The case was removed to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa at docket number 4:22-cv-00083, but the federal court remanded the matter back to state court, where it remains pending today.
